I'm playing FINAL FANTASY XIV, but I can't log into the app.

You must have an active service account of FINAL FANTASY XIV associated with your Square Enix account in order to use the Companion App. You may continue using the chat and other features within the app for up to 30 days after your service account expires.

Free trial accounts, net café accounts, and service accounts expired for 30 days or longer cannot use the Companion App.

If you cannot log into the app despite fulfilling all log-in requirements, please contact the Support Center.

Does the app function in the same way with both entry-level and standard subscriptions for FINAL FANTASY XIV?

Yes. The same features are available to both service account types.

Q

What does the premium service plan offer?

A

The premium plan offers a range of additional features.
Please note that the benefits will only become apparent once your in-game character is able to hire retainers, so please unlock that feature in FFXIV before considering upgrading to the premium plan.

PREMIUM

  • Use an extra chocobo saddlebag in-game, for a total of 140 saddlebag slots.
  • Manage chocobo saddlebag items.
  • Hire an extra retainer in-game for no additional cost.
  • Manage retainer items.
  • Exchange items between retainers.
  • Receive twice the kupo nuts per day and carry a maximum of ten at a time.
  • Premium plan features may be used by all characters on the same service account.
  • It may take up to an hour before premium plan features become available after purchase.
  • Premium plan bonuses will not apply to previously claimed login bonuses.
  • In-game premium plan features will become available after logging into the game. If you are logged in when purchasing the premium plan, please exit the game and log in again.

What happens if I cancel my premium plan?

A

Canceling the premium plan will revert your account to the free plan.

  • Kupo nuts received while using the premium plan may be used as normal.
  • Items stored in the second chocobo saddlebag may be viewed but will become inaccessible.
  • The extra retainer included in the premium plan can no longer be summoned.

How about if my FINAL FANTASY XIV subscription runs out?

A

You will be able to continue using the chat and event list features in the Companion App for 30 days after your FINAL FANTASY XIV subscription expires. Due to being unable to log in to the game, features pertaining to items or the market boards will not be available in the app. After 30 days have passed, you will no longer have access to chat or the event list.

Can I use the companion app with the free trial?

A

The Companion App cannot be used with a free trial service account.
