Q

Can I use the app after my character has used the World Visit System?

A

Certain features are not available while your character is away from their Home World.

 Items

  • You cannot move items between your character's inventory, armoury chest, chocobo saddlebags, or retainers.
  • You cannot discard or sell items from your retainers' inventories.
 

 Listing Items on the Market Board

  • You can list items in your retainers' inventories for sale in your Home World but you cannot list items from your inventory or chocobo saddlebags.
 

 Purchasing Items on the Market Board

  • You may purchase items from the market board of the World you are visiting.
    To purchase from your Home World, you must transfer there from within the game.

The character I want to chat with is not displayed.

A

The following conditions must be met to chat with another character:

  • The other character must be registered to your friend list, linkshell, cross-world linkshell, or free company in game.
  • The app must be synced with your in-game contacts.
    In-game contacts are synced automatically but the app will not update this information until you log out of the game.
  • The other character must also have registered to the app.

If the other character fulfills these conditions but is not shown as someone you may chat with via the app, it is possible that the app is not synced with your in-game contacts.

At times of high levels of user activity, contact synchronization may take up to a day. In such cases, please wait before trying again.

Can I use the app while logged in to the game?

A

App features such as item management and accessing the market board are unavailable while you are logged in to the game client. When you attempt to perform such actions in the app while logged in to the game, a prompt giving you the option to remotely log out of the game client will appear.
Chat, event list, and contacts functions may be used as normal while logged in to the game client.

You can still view the Market Board while logged in to the game.

Is it possible to add people I've met in the app to my in-game friend list using the app itself?

A

At present, this feature is not available. If you wish to add someone to your friend list, you must log in to the game client and do so from there.

How do I report other users?

A

Tap and hold on a chat message to display the submenu. Select Other Options followed by Report to Admin to report that user. You may also block users to prevent their messages and event invitations from being displayed.

When I change my character's name or transfer to another World, the information in the app is not updated.

A

Changes made to character data may not be reflected immediately. In such cases, either wait a short time and try checking again, or go to App Settings and select Update Character Data to manually update.

Q

The new items added to the game in the latest patch are not shown in the app.

A

This may occur when the app has not been updated to the latest version. To update manually, select Update App Data from App Settings.
